The W201 2.3-16V and 2.5-16 were unique in many ways, one of those things was the middle console. It might seem like your regular dashboard middle console, but instead it had three gauges in the bottom above the ashtray. Mercedes built in these meters, which included an oil gauge meter, lap timer and a voltage meter, and it was all there to keep track of these marvellous machines.
